Review: A Cursed Embrace (Weird Girls, #2) by Cecy Robson

A Cursed Embrace
Urban Fantasy - Parnormal Romance - Witches - Vampires - Werewolves

Celia Wird and her three sisters are just like other twenty-something girls—with one tiny exception: They are the products of a curse that backfired and gave each of them unique powers that made them, well, a little weird…

After Celia Wird and her sisters help master vampire Misha save his family, their powers are exposed to the supernatural community of the Lake Tahoe region. But fame comes at a price, and being “weird” isn’t always welcome.

To make matters worse, Celia desires the love of Alpha werewolf Aric, but his pack is bent on destroying their relationship to preserve his pureblood status. And once weres start turning up dead—with evidence pointing to the vampires—she must face the prospect of losing Aric forever. But the chaos only masks a new threat. An evil known as the Tribe has risen—and their sights are set on Celia and her sisters.

Another Amazing Read in the Weird Girls series!

I loved the first volume and was eager to read the second one. Cecy Robson did not disappoint!

We get lots of action, romance, adventure and Cecy manages to take us into her world right from the beginning. We get our favorite sisters, vampires, wolves and demons. I was taken on an emotional roller coster through "A Cursed Embrace". I felt for Celia for whom love is never easy. She still hopes for the best, but like in real life nothing is ever easy for her. We understand Aric even if we do not like it, but we also understand this young woman and we can not help ourselves, but blame the werewolf who hurts her constantly. Misha is also still there and I admit that he is also a wonderful character. This is a very difficult story for Celia and I’m curious to see what will happen to her now, and also to her sisters. I’m looking forward to the third book and hope everything works itself out. (Have tissues handy!)

If you have not tried this series, I highly recommend you do.

I love all things Shifter! It's always so hard to choose a favorite, but Jaguars are amazing! Jaguars are the largest of South America's big cats. These beautiful and powerful beasts were prominent in ancient Native American cultures. In some traditions the Jaguar God of the Night was the formidable lord of the underworld.

Terry Spearis one of many authors that writes about shifters. She is also one of my favorites! This month she released Silence of the Wolf "Heart of the Wolf" #13 another great shifter series. Check out my review HERE!

Critical Intelligence had some funny moments to I really enjoyed.  My favorite is the first quote the moment someone learns they are going to be a daddy I had to smile it reminded me of the day our son was born and how my hubby cried and passed out after he was born. ^_^  Check out my review here!

" Nothing is wrong." Green smiled. "Well, not unless you consider being a father a bad thing."      "Being a father?"       "I'm going to be a ..." Darkness swallowed him whole as he passed out cold. ~ Critical Intelligence by Mandy M…
